Sanctuary
November 18, 2017
Come to me, sweet sticky happiness
In the form of balmy Southern nights,
Unbearable if not for lazy dips In the lake,
A refreshing mint kiss.
Come to me, rushing freedom
In still water, a shining reflective mirror,
Embedded diamonds glittering
in the iridescent sunlight.
Sky, like doors flung open, limitless.
Where I let the light breeze dance,
Running it’s cool fingers
through my hair.
I savor these moments
When summer drips into autumn
And touches everything with
Gold.
