Migos, The Trendsetting Trio

The trendsetting trio, Migos, has been composing a new album that releases January 28th, 2018. This new album, “Culture II” is the second Culture album and the 9th album that Migos has created since 2013. Interestingly enough, Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset, the rappers that comprise Migos, are all directly related. Quavo is Takeoff’s uncle, and Offset is Quavo’s cousin; they grew up together on the streets of Georgia through a tough upbringing. They first came together in 2009 and released their first project, Juug Season, in 2012. This was the beginning of the group that would change the rap game to what it is now. Their initial breakout occured when Canadian rapper Drake remixed the Migos made song “Versace” and brought fame to the single. Later they came out with the mixtape “No Label 2” and “Yung Rich Nation,” which received positive reviews from fans as they sold thousands of copies and famous celebrities such as Lil Wayne and Odell Beckham Jr. acknowledged their work. As Migos was relatively famous at this point, the album Culture is what brought the group to the mountaintop of rap. Migos released songs such as “Bad and Boujee” which topped the Billboard Top 100 and stayed at the number one position for weeks. After the stardome that Migos received from this album, they have featured on countless songs and the leader of the group, Quavo, had also made a collab album with Travis Scott. Now, Migos is releasing “Culture II” which will consists of features from Drake, Travis Scott, 2 Chainz, Big Sean, Ty Dolla $ign, and Post Malone. The album is supposed to contain 24 songs and some have already been released such as “Motorsport” ft Nicki Minaj and Cardi B, which is already a hit. Much is anticipated from this album as Migos is at the peak of their game and does not seem to slow down.
