How To Manage A Busy Life!
December 7, 2020
As we all know, balancing our student lives with our extracurricular activities especially during hybrid learning/COVID times can be quite a struggle, but very much a learning experience for us all. As someone who has been keeping up with schoolwork, playing for the school’s Varsity Soccer team, and taking part in different clubs, I understand it can get really difficult and stressful. I’ve felt really overwhelmed at times, but I have done a few things to help.
- Feeling really anxious and nervous? Stop what you’re doing and take some deep breaths. I know everyone says to just breathe, but trust me, it really works. When you’re really stressed, stopping and taking a few moments to collect your thoughts and relax really helps. Slow, controlled breathing is the first step!
- Set an agenda for yourself. Take everything one step at a time because the more you rush, the more pressure and stress you’ll be under. If you set a plan on when to do things, your life will be made so much easier once you’re organized.
- Start to get some momentum while working! Grab a snack, take a break or two within the working time, and relax your brain while working. The best thing to do is not put too much stress and pressure on yourself because it’ll only make everything worse.
- Work hard no matter what you’re doing because the outcome is always worth it.
Sports, extracurricular activities, clubs, and learning in school is meant to be enjoyable. Have fun during those activities and the more happy you are and the less pressure you put on yourself, the better your life will be managed. Remember to keep everything organized, and look to find ways that motivate you to get to that club meeting, practice your sport, and get your work done without feeling like you’re going to go crazy! Life has its ups and downs and you’re going to go through difficult situations, but it’s all about how you handle it! You got this, I believe in you!
