“Bye Bye Birdie” School Musical Aftermath & Photo Reel

Jessica Terlato

This month our school finally performed our annual spring musical: Bye Bye Birdie! The process to get to this point was a long, but rewarding one (which I touched on with my first article regarding the musical). The cast performed to their absolute best ability, and it was very evident in each of their performances. Carly Cavanaugh, who played Ursula Merkle in our production stated: ā€œIā€™m very happy about how the show turned out. It was a hectic and time-consuming process, but I had a lot of fun putting it all together and grew very close with those involved along the way. It was very rewarding to collaborate with such humble, dedicated, and kindhearted people to put on this production.ā€ It was truly reflected on the stage on how close-knit the class really became. Whether you saw the musical or were a part of it, anyone can agree that the energy on stage was remarkable. Putting together a musical is difficult, but each person made the experience worthwhile. Remember to keep a lookout on any future Cougar Theatre Company events for this amazing cast and crew!
