The SPCA is one of the biggest animal rescue organizations in the world. Whether you are looking for a pet companion, big or small, the SPCA would be the best place to pick your future furry friend! Experience has taught me that nothing is more rewarding than giving your new family member a life they never had. I adopted my golden doodle, Nova, from the SPCA, and she is the best thing that could have happened to me and my family. Although she was timid at first, like most of the rescues found, there was no greater reward than the first time she started to trust me and my family. She opened up to us and showed her true personality, becoming the perfect addition to our household.
The SPCA specializes in rehabilitating cats and dogs around the world. You can find the closest organization near you by simply searching it up! The nearest establishment in New Jersey is located in Monmouth County, and the New Jersey Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. If you’re not looking to adopt, you can always contribute by donating to help fund future adoptions. You can donate through mail, sending a check to your local ASPCA, on the phone, and/or email, which can both be found online along with a separate form for donations!
