My Experience at Junior Prom

My Experience at Junior Prom

Sophia Scognamiglio

My experience at Junior prom during covid: the majority of the time we had to wear our masks, that wasn’t too bad though. It was a really nice experience. The place was Forsgate Country Club. Everyone looked really nice, we all danced, ate some food and overall had a great time. I had pre-prom so everyone and their dates came to my house and took pictures. The music was pretty good and everyone was dancing and having a fun time. Most people were nervous that it wasn’t going to be fun because of covid restrictions, but that did not stop our grade from dancing, hanging out with friends, and eating good food. I had a great experience and cannot wait for senior prom next year. Hopefully, by then there won’t be as many rules due to covid and we can branch out more and not have to wear our masks or worry and be nervous.  My favorite part about prom is when we all started to branch out and dance because at first everyone was in their own group, so once the music started playing people started to dance and really connect. Due to covid not everyone being in the same place because not everyone goes to school, I feel the prom did bring everyone together. School functions help with that no matter what the circumstance is in my opinion. I’m pretty grateful for that, it was really nice to see everyone together.
