Mindfulness Activity
Have you ever just felt like dancing? Singing? Both are great ways to relieve your stress. Dancing can be a great physical exercise, and singing is a great way to practice your breathing. If you want to reduce your stress, go and sing a song you love or play some Just Dance. Spend some time with your family or friends and build some fun memories of your stress-relieving time.
How To Identify Stress?
Stress isn’t always easy to identify. Sometimes we can feel it, sometimes we can’t. Sometimes we know what it’s from, and sometimes it’s hidden from us. A good strategy to identify stress is to meditate. Observe your breathing and notice what you feel. As you do a body scan, you will identify where you are holding tension. When you notice a knot in your body, observe the spot. Take deep breaths and the knot will slowly dissolve. Yoga and stretching is another way to reduce the stress in your body. Building up long-term stress is harmful and can lead to health problems in the future. If you want to have a small meditation session, you can come to our Be The Change meetings on Wednesdays before school and during lunch in room A115.
