National Blood Donor Month

National Blood Donor Month

National Blood Donor Month is in January, the first year of the month. This month we recognize Blood Donors and how they help people as a community. There is a massive necessity for blood donations, for a multitude of reasons from blood transfusions to the need for plasma. To think that your blood can help a random person to the point where it can save their life is a crazy idea to me. Blood donation is an important thing for anyone suffering from a multitude of situations, such as natural disasters, serious car crashes, kidney diseases, and much much more. It is important for anyone who can donate because it can help save a life in most cases. In most cases, local opportunities are available most days for blood. In Colts Neck, there are multiple community drives nearby, so look into them and donate blood! Donating blood is an extremely important necessity for most people, so go save a life and donate!
