Why Is Culture Important?
Culture is important because it is a part of who we are and influences our values. It plays a crucial role in shaping our identity and the traditions we follow. Culture helps foster a sense of belonging and an understanding of the customs we see around us every day. With such a diverse planet, learning about the cultures of others is just as important as indulging in your own because it allows you to view the world from different perspectives. This promotes a respectful, empathetic, and educated society that can coexist and encourages meaningful interactions between people of different backgrounds, minimizing racism and stereotypes.

If you’d like to learn more about the different cultures and help promote Colts Neck’s motto: “A culture of respect”, consider joining the Cultural Coalition Club! Located in room A202, we have meetings every other Friday during lunch with cultural presentations, games, and snacks. We also hold events with movie nights, fundraiser sales, and food days. Our next upcoming fundraiser is a brownie sale on December 20th from 7:30 AM to 8:20 AM in front of the media center. We will be raising money for a cultural food truck at the end of the school year. We hope you all choose to get involved and that we see you all at the next meeting! 🙂
