A well known motif of springtime is fresh starts and new beginnings, this applies everywhere–even on Broadway currently. Multiple shows have announced new and exceptional principalcast members for the spring season. Here’s some of the highlights!
A few of the most popular shows of recent have an entirely new principal cast! One of which being Hadestown which includes Joshula Colley as Orpheus, Jordan Tyson as Eurydice, J. Harrison Ghee as Hermes, and Gaby Moreno as Persephone. Wicked is another show with an almost entire new principal cast.
Along with this there are several particularly noteworthy people who have made Broadway debuts and appearances this season. Some of which include Tom Felton reprising an older version of his role of Draco Malfoy in Harry Potter and the Cursed Child, His former co-star Daniel Radcliff comes back to broadway again starring in Every Brilliant Thing a one man play.
SNL star Maya Ruldlpoh join the cast of Oh Mary! as the titular character, and of course the news of the season, rapper Megan Thee Stallion makes her stage debut as the Master ofCeremonies Zilder in Moulin Rouge! Making her the second best part of her show, number one being the fact that it’ll close one day!
Additionally to all those there are a multitude of shows opening this season with an amazing cast! A stage adaptation of the movie Beaches, a revival of Cats: The Jellicle Ball prominently the revival of The Rocky Horror Picture Show showcasing a collection of theatre stars including:
Rachel Dratch as the narrator, Josh Rivera as Rocky, Juliette Lewis as Magenta, Stephenie Hsu as Janet and Amber Gray who just exited Hadestown as Riff Raff.
