This past Friday, the 19th of December, the school’s Civic Sidekicks Club and Amnesty International Club had a successful collaboration event. Students gathered under a festive atmosphere to hand-write postcards, either to someone greatly appreciated on a personal level or to a political figure.
Civic Sidekicks strives to encourage civic engagement, as any action may help, even if it may not seem like so. Amnesty International’s Write For Rights program follows the same ideology, as just writing one letter is an undeniable sign of support for a person or for a valuable belief.
Shoutout to ZJ who made beautiful brochures and designed the event poster & to everyone who brought food and supplies, especially Kendall with her homemade peppermint brownies!
We hope to see another successful event next year!
